Moho Nord is the second production hub operated by Total in Congo’s deep waters. Located about 75 km from the coast, it came on stream in the first half of 2017, nine years after the start-up of Moho Bilondo, the Group’s first deep offshore production area in the Congo. It was conceived to tap the discoveries in the northern part of the Moho Bilondo PEX (exploitation license). It is Total’s first deep water development to combine two different production systems for two distinct geological environments. Indeed, Total is building an FPU (Floating Production Unit) and a TLP (Tension Leg Platform), which is a first for the Group in Africa, both devoted to the same development.
