SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER

Role Objectives:

To contribute to the method engineering team within the definition and improvement of producing processes and plant for brand spanking new and existing products and to make sure the capital project programme is satisfactorily supported as well as to satisfy the location and business targets.

Ability to organize comprehensive process engineering specifications, commissioning procedures and reports. Producing scopes of labor to permit as well as a multi-discipline team to execute their individual elements of the project.

Key Accountabilities:

Ensure that all Environment, Health & Safety requirements are met including (but not limited to) workplace organisation, work instructions as well as risk assessments, permit issuing and control, COSHH assessments, housekeeping standards, and operating within the environmental permit.

Initiate and lead the event of proposals for brand spanking new , improved or extended plant, for brand spanking new as well as existing production, and define the scope and programmes for capital projects together. With operational functions in support of the techno-commercial strategy of the business.

Prepare relevant process engineering as well as documents (e.g. project P&IDs, commissioning procedures, equipment data sheets, test sheets etc.) for the Project Handover package.

Lead the initial conceptual phase of capital as well as projects within the development of strategies for expanding and providing capacity to satisfy the requirements of the business. Review designs to make sure an optimum as well as balance between technical suitability, operability and cost-efficiency.

Lead HAZOPs and style review studies, quantified risk assessments etc, for NPI’s. Arrange the method safety reviews (HSE reviews and Hazops etc.) and make sure that the resulting recommendations are implemented.

Education/Qualification Required
* Degree or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering with, ideally, Chartered Engineer status.
