Reservoir Engineer Job

Brunel Energy Australasia are currently recruiting for a Reservoir Engineer.
You will join our clients Development Planning & Hydrocarbon Maturation team and will be based in Brisbane’s CBD.
Our client is a Global Leader within the Oil & Gas Industry.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Apply reservoir engineering skills to support technical studies and delivery of production forecasts for a range of new development and brownfield projects.
  • Deliver production forecasts for our clients East Coast assets. Ensure all business assumptions are incorporated into forecasting schedules and development plans.
  • As part of annual business planning and reserves process, provide timely and assured production forecast and volume estimates.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders including IRM, Concept Engineering, Economics, FEDM, Production, Operations to ensure the short/medium term vision is aligned with the long-term expectations and external stakeholders including government and RAR to ensure compliance and reporting.
  • Present completed analysis at peer reviews and functional reviews as part of the value assurance framework.
  • Support delivery of reservoir engineering elements of SOV/NOV FDPs and support delivery of area subsurface reservoir engineering workstreams ensuring functional/technical consistency across teams.

Key Requirements:

  • Hands on experience with modelling Coal Seam Gas reservoirs with Eclipse simulation software.
  • Experience in reservoir modelling, history matching, forecasting, reserves assessments and development planning.
  • Sound problem-solving skills and a track record of being solution driven including working with custom tools. Experience using Spotfire or other data analytical tools would be advantageous.
  • Work within and collaborate with multi-disciplinary subsurface team(s), Commercial, Tenures, Production, Concept engineering and other asset entities.
  • The position requires incumbents to fully appreciate diversity; will operate in a fluid environment and will need to rely on drive, personal experience and judgment.
