Production Operator Offshore Rotational Job

REQUIREMENTS

  • POSITION SUMMARY
  • The Production Operator is responsible for maximizing production by ensuring the safe and effective operation of Process and Utility equipment.
  • This position is also to fulfill the position Safe Operation responsibility and accountability requirements.
  • CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • • To monitor, start-up, shut down, and prepare equipment for maintenance/inspection in accordance with COMPANY Policies and Procedures, Regulatory requirements and offshore industry standards, to achieve established objectives in the most productive, cost effective and safe manner possible. This would include site preparation and isolations for maintenance activities.
  • • Routine rounds of the production plant, monitoring operations.
  • • Learn and understand the roles and responsibilities of the Control Room Operator
  • • Participate in the on-board Safety Awareness Program.
  • • Carrying out safe and optimum operation of Facility Processing and Utility Facilities by monitoring and controlling processing and all support systems.
  • • Ensuring a high standard of housekeeping and safe work practices, protection of the environment to be a consideration at all times.
  • • Identifying plant, equipment, and process isolations within the bounds of the Permit to Work system and Implementation of Mechanical Isolations.
  • • Taking actions to prevent or rectify abnormal plant and production situations.
  • • Actively participating as a member of the emergency response team.
  • • Allocated sections of the Facility facilities as required, and maintaining daily logbooks regarding these areas
  • • Being fully aware and if required, involved in all ongoing work on the Facility process and utility systems.
  • • Testing of product quality to set specifications for sales oil, injection water, produced water overboard, injection gas, potable and boiler feed water, etc.
  • • Performing Authority under Permit to Work to Work System for all Process and Utility areas on the Facility.
  • POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certifications – Academic (ie. specific educational and/or training programs, degrees, diplomas, certifications, etc.)
  • • University or college diploma and Technologist or Industry Certification
  • Experience – Role-specific
  • • 10-15 Offshore oil/Gas production experence
  • • 5 years’ experience on senior production operator
  • Experience – Industry-specific
  • • Extensive experience as a seasoned offshore worker accustomed to the delivery of safe and efficient operations based on the use of industry leading methodologies.
  • • In-depth knowledge of offshore gas production operations.
