Process Operator Vacancy

Description

  • Starting up/shutting down process equipment
  • Writing quality work notifications for repair of process equipment and instrumentation
  • Promptly responding to process alarms / constraints
  • Drawing samples of products from the process for laboratory testing
  • Operating Distributive Control System (DCS)
  • Monitoring the performance of plant equipment and process conditions, reading flow meters and temperature and pressure gauges, and taking routine readings on process variables
  • Making changes to the operating process necessary to maintain product quality
  • Safely operating plant equipment within safe operating ranges adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Fulfil routine duties and units round utilizing eSOMS and hard copy as needed.
  • Comply strictly with all operating procedures and guidelines
  • Monitors lab data to ensure all processes meet specifications.
  • Follow up and implement weekly PM/CM maintenance schedule.
  • Participates in Job Safety Analysis
  • May be required to participate on S-Chem Emergency Response Team (firefighting)
  • Initial response to plant emergencies within the unit (HAZWOPER)
  • Following all plant safety guidelines and policies, which includes the wearing of fire-retardant clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Working safely in adverse weather conditions
  • Supporting other Operational activities associated with site Turnarounds and Projects
  • Acts as Authorized Approver for General and Special Work Permits for work to be performed in his area
  • Preparing equipment for maintenance
