FULL DESCRIPTION

The Pipeline Integrity Engineer is responsible for ensuring that onshore and offshore pipelines, onshore flowlines and associated equipment perform effectively and efficiently throughout operational life until decommissioning. The main purpose of the role is to plan, ensure smooth execution, review and analyse results of a number of duties including audits, inspections and non-destructive testing of assets. The goal of the Pipeline Integrity Engineer is to maximise return on assets while ensuring a safe and efficient workplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Maintain and update onshore and offshore pipelines and flowlines Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) registers/database, including dead leg register, failure register and threaded connection register
2. Compile and manage annual and 5 (five) year plan for implementation of the Pipelines Integrity Management System (PIMS) and strategy in coordination with the pipeline operations team and the Lead Pipeline Engineer. Enter the pipeline and onshore flowline integrity plan into the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
3. Assist Lead pipeline Engineer for preparing budget requirement for implementation of the PIMS and strategies, selection of pipeline inspection / integrity contractors
4. Compile and issue workscopes for onshore and offshore pipelines and onshore flowlines inspections to the inspection contractor(s). Review workpacks developed by inspection or integrity contractors
5. Manage contractors for inspection or integrity work on pipelines and onshore flowlines, in consultation with the Production Support Team
6. Analyse inspection results upon completion and ensure sufficient information is provided to allow assessment. Identify and report requirements for pipeline system repairs and remedial works, as required
7. Review, risk assess and make recommendations for repair/maintenance for all onshore and offshore pipeline systems, onshore flowlines related anomalies. Facilitate Body Decision meetings.

EXPERIENCE

Ideally with more than 8 years of mixed experience in the onshore and offshore oil and gas pipeline industry. Candidates with 5+ years of experience in Integrity of Onshore Pipelines and flowlines in the middle east will be considered as an advantage.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in relevant discipline, preferably Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering.
