Plant Operator (Lator)
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe operation and routine maintenance of high-pressure gas wells, and gathering systems including pipeline routine pigging operations
- Record and report on flaring, shutdowns, reboiler swaps, heat changes, and other production reporting as required
- Monitor the plant for any issues and make changes as necessary to accommodate fluctuations in input rates
- Responsible for isolation and permitting activities in a large industrial setting
- Work cross functionally with the construction and maintenance teams to make any changes in the plant
- Monitor SCADA for any changes
- Must meet the requirements of WHMIS, ABSA, and ASME codes as required
- Must follow and apply the site’s safe work procedures
- Must be prepared to respond to an emergency and follow the site’s emergency response plan
Qualifications:
- The ideal candidate will have a 4th Class Power Engineering certificate
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in the oil and gas industry
- Experience working in a high-pressure gas processing field with a thorough understanding of gas and liquid processes
- Experience with dehydration equipment, transfer pumps, plunger lifts, and compression, and experience with condensate stabilization is an asset
- Current certification in H2S alive, First Aid, WHIMIS, TDG is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to process changes and modifications
- Demonstrated computer literacy and knowledge of automated operations systems
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills
- Team player mentality and able to work well with others in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work overtime and respond off hours as part of an “On Call” rotation
- Ability to operate UTV and Snowmobile
- Experience working in a camp environment
Additional Information:
- Shift Schedule – 14/14, 12 hours days, and there will be night shifts included
- The work location is approx. 1 hr. 45 mins from Grande Prairie
- ARC has a dedicated operations camp. If the successful candidate resides in Grande Prairie area, you will be required to stay at the camp facility.
Field Operator
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the safe and efficient operations of the facilities in the area
- Champion ARC’s culture of safety by abiding by ARC’s safety standards, reporting hazards and effectively communicating with team members
- Ensure plant production and reliability by effectively troubleshooting and performing maintenance on equipment as needed
- Responsible for isolation and permitting activities in a large industrial setting
- Must meet the requirements of WHMIS, ABSA, and ASME codes as required
- Monitor and evaluate process conditions to achieve optimum throughput
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production and minimize downtime
- Perform minor maintenance and housekeeping as required
- Be available and ready to respond to on-call operational duties as need
Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate is a motivated and enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic. Strong mechanical aptitude, computer literacy, and exceptional organization skills are key attributes. In addition, the candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Priority will be granted to individuals holding a Power Engineering certificate
- A minimum of 2 years of field operating experience is preferred
- Experience with sour gas facilities and gas refrigeration systems is considered an asset
- Demonstrated computer literacy and knowledge of automated operations
- Must be available to work a 10 hour shift and a night shift periodically
- Must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Valleyview area
