Mechanical Tech Supervisor Job

Job Summary 

The main purpose of the Mechanical Tech Supervisor role is to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures to support overall delivery of company goals and schedule. In addition, to ensure all work scope is completed in a safe manner with no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Ensure compliance with the site cardinal safety rules and all safety aspects in the execution of work by mechanical team.
  • Complete field level risk assessments as well as mechanical team performance assessments and report findings to the Mechanical Lead.
  • Interface with Construction and monitor contractors’ mechanical completion, reporting all information to the Mechanical Lead.
  • Oversee and assist Mechanical Lead in performing pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
  • Conduct walk downs as required representing the Mechanical commissioning discipline.
  • Completion of approved pre-commissioning check sheets. • Assist vendor representatives and site operations in commissioning and start up activities as scheduled by Mechanical Lead.
  • Assist in executing Mechanical commissioning procedures.
  • Adhere to standards of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) and comply with the Clients Company Health, Safety & Environment Management (HSEM) System requirements; takes reasonable care of one’s own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
  • Follow and maintain Company standards of Quality in accordance with Company Quality System requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience and Education 

  • Served a fully recognized apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Eight (8) years’ experience in directly performing in an oil and gas, or similar industrial environment. • Ability to read and interpret Piping and Instrumentation Diagram/Drawings (P&IDs) installation standards etc.
  • Experience on mechanical equipment installation, mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning
  • Valid, state issued driver’s license
