PRIMARY purpose

Establish the pro-active maintenance needs for the metering assets to improve the reliability of the metering systems, to ensure the uncertainty of the gas measurement is within the designed tolerance and to fulfil the Contractual obligations with customers as per the gas sales agreement requirements related to metering.  [Not translated in selected language]

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provides technical support to operation, maintenance teams and technical personnel.
  2. Responsible for executing the activities as per the preventive and breakdown maintenance plans of the Metering systems and associated equipment.
  3. Responsible for the rectification of any faults occurred on the metering system and associated equipment.
  4. Review yearly PM plans and ensure validations, calibration, proving etc are carried out in accordance with the Preventive Maintenance Plan.
  5. Review long term calibration plans for Ultrasonic meter wet calibrations and provide assistance to Metering Engineer to prepare budget for carrying out the activity as per the plan.
  6.  Carry out preventive, corrective and troubleshooting maintenance, and testing of metering systems.
  7. Prepares and obtains PTW based on the periodic job plans, and conducts Toolbox talk meeting to ensure understanding of the daily work tasks.
  8. Ensures timely completion and proper close out of the permits for restoring the equipment to normal operation.
  9. Create SAP workorders with proper manpower and material planning for the notifications raised by operations as per the criticality ratings and close the workorders by capturing actual working hours.
  10. Fault history shall be captured in the SAP system and history shall be maintained for the yearly fault analysis exercise.
  11. Ensure the availability of adequate tools, equipment, spare parts, test gear by highlighting the requirement to Metering Engineer.
  12. Assist Metering Engineer to Prepare Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs) for all the equipment installed and ensure the activities are carried out the as per the approved procedures.
  13. Supervise minor projects / task orders executed through third party Contractors to meet the Company’s requirement.
  14. Participate in Task Risk Assessment Exercises.
  15. Demonstrates visible commitment to HSE by periodically taking part in risk assessments, raising watch cards, HSE meetings, emergency drills, etc.
  16. Ensures all jobs are carried out with all company HSE policies & procedures and related initiatives.
  17. Provide required input for the RCM study and update the lifecycle dossier periodically for the metering systems.
  18. Participate Root Cause Analysis for the repetitive faults and find the bad actors and propose recommendations for the improvement of the reliability of the equipment.
  19. Provide assistance to Metering Engineer to identify the budget requirements for equipment replacement to meet the lifecycle of equipment during the budget cycle.
  20. Review the SAP PM plans and identify any missing items / tags.
  21. Review the store stock periodically and inform Metering Engineer to update the requirement as and when required.
  22. Performs other similar or related duties as required or assigned by Line Manager.
