MAJOR FUNCTIONS
Provides the support necessary to contribute towards efficient health, safety, and environmental
management in order to create secure, safe and healthy working conditions throughout the site
To assist and advise on Health & Safety standards and promote safe working environment.
To undertake a continuous training programme by attending lectures, exercises, practical training
sessions and other forms of training to maintain competence levels.
Take responsibility for developing your own skills and continuous improvement. Be part of a highly
motivated team that provides emergency response capabilities.
Ensuring your fitness levels are maintained as the work can be demanding both physically and
mentally.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Learn to understand and act in accordance with company policies, rules and instructions.
A proactive competent member of the HSE ER Team
Learn to apply emergency rescue techniques, firefighting and, HSE procedures.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude as required in the operation of firefighting and rescue
equipment.
Demonstrate physical aptitude becoming a motivated member of the HSE ERT
Understand and follow verbal instructions and directions promptly and accurately.
Maintaining Safety Critical equipment and inspections.
Perform heavy lifting and physical maneuvering.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Demonstrate continuous effort to become more proficient in general HSE and fire fighter duties,
improving operations, decreasing turnout times, streamlining work processes, and working
cooperatively and jointly to provide a quality service.
Other HSE duties as deemed necessary by the HSE Technician Team Leader and HSE Manager.
