Job Summary
Location: Grand Cane, LA
Position reports to the Manager as well as Gathering Operations. Functions as operator, installer and maintainer of pipeline facilities, gate stations, and associated equipment and structures. Day to day operations as well as maintenance of gas compressor stations and gathering system. Span of control: 0; this is often a private contributor position.
Key Accountabilities
Operating, installing, and maintaining pipeline facilities, gates stations, and associated equipment and structures.
Changing thermocouples and making minor regulator adjustments to stabilize operating pressures
Operating, installing, making minor as well as repairs and maintaining gas and oil wells, gathering system fields, and compressors, including associated equipment and structures
Satisfy any testing requirements and attaining and demonstrating to the Company’s satisfaction a suitable level of proficiency at installing, maintaining and repairing equipment for the measurement and control of oil and gas handling facilities.
Assumes the responsibility of operating gas pipeline associated equipment including but not limited to reciprocating gas compressors, dehydrators, fluid separating equipment, valves, gas/liquid measurement equipment, etc. Operating the equipment and system may include, but isn’t limited to:
Start-up/shutdown of kit
Adjusting controls to bring equipment into recommended or prescribed operating ranges
Visually inspecting equipment and controls at periodic intervals to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment, or lubrication
Operating valves
Implements safe work practices and a proactive safety culture while ensuring safety for the worker , the general public , and therefore the environment in the least times.
Reads, monitors, and records various as well as conditions like pressures, temperatures, hours of operation, fuel consumed, water levels, and monitors gauges.
Performs minor maintenance on equipment including but not limited to reciprocating gas compressors, dehydrators, fluid separating equipment, valves, etc. Performing minor maintenance on the equipment and system may include, but isn’t limited to:
Perform pigging operations
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
Must have a highschool diploma or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience within the following: valve maintenance, leak survey of gas pipelines, mechanical aptitude, missdig.
Other Qualifications
Ability to hold equipment which will weigh as well as up to 50 pounds in remote field locations.
Qualify under Department of Transportation Operator Qualification Program for related tasks.
Must be a superb communicator and team player.
High integrity and self-motivator.
Basic computer skills
Must be ready to work and perform without close supervision.
Highly developed planning, analytical and problem solving skills.
Highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills including specific technical abilities and therefore the ability to reply to emergency situations.
Valid driver’s licence required, must meet Company driving standard of but 6 points.
Ability to reply to after hour emergencies and on call responses.
Performs minor maintenance as necessary with medium to work requirements. the worker must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and infrequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, sight , sight , Depth perception and skill to regulate focus.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works unsupervised as well as in field operations and works alone 90% of the time.
Works altogether sorts of weather.
Available 24 hours per day for on-call and emergency situations.
