DRILLING TECHNOLOGY ENGINEER

The Role:
This is a position on local salary package based at the shipyard West of Singapore
The Contract duration is for 1 year, can be extended or converted to permanent employee based on performance
Working Hours: Mon to Thurs- 0730h to 1730h; Fri – 0730h to 1630h
Company bus is provided island wide (at designated pickup points)
JOB DESCRIPTION
– Perform engineering design, calculations and analysis
– Check and review purchase specifications
– Prepare, Review and correct drawings
– Prepare test procedures
– Review vendor quotations and vendor drawings
– Handle contract-bidding engineering specifications and enquiry
– Monitor the progress of drawings, documents and purchase specifications
– Perform quality assurance check of drawings
– Seek new ideas/ solutions to improve the current designs, work methods and procedures
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
– Degree in Engineering/ Naval Architecture
– At least 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in marine/ offshore industry
– Knowledge of functional and operational requirements related to design of all types of ships and offshore vessels
– Well versed with regulatory and class requirements
– Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering design software (e.g. Tribon, GEMS, acad, SM3D)
– Fresh graduates would also be considered
