JOB DESCRIPTION

Mission:
▪ Ensure correct management of onshore drilling rig activities in order to achieve safe and efficient performance
▪ Organize drilling, well completion and work over activities in accordance with client programs, Company procedures and contractual requirements.
▪ Holding the proper IADC or IWCF well control certification

Tasks:
▪ Ensure all conditions are met for safe working conditions on the rig site at all times
▪ Be safety minded during in all works and behaviours, use compulsory protective equipment and ensure the same for subordinates
▪ Carry out own duties according to the Emergency Preparedness Action Plan
▪ Actively participate to HSE inspections/audit on the rig site
▪ Call for / lead for appropriate level investigations in case of serious incidents
▪ Apply and ensure the correct application of prescribed Operative standards and regulations
▪ Ensure Client HSE and Q/A policies and standards are implemented on rig sites
▪ Be well-informed about environmental aspect on site, full knowledge of client’s environmental procedures, applying them and promoting their implementation
▪ Verify proper housekeeping is maintained on the rig site
▪ Ensure that personnel assigned on drilling project receives appropriate theoretical and practical training to cover the required competences
▪ Monitors that the personnel assigned on drilling project has sufficient competences and notify the training needs
▪ Ensure the proper management of personnel rotation and working hours optimization
▪ Ensure the proper management of personnel through communication, performance and skill evaluation and know-how transfer
▪ Ensure that the non-productive time of the rigs is limited up to a certain targeted level
▪ Monitor the good execution of drilling program supplied by the Client and notify timely any possible technical issue
▪ Be well-informed about the established well control and drilling operational procedures
▪ Cooperate with the logistic function to ensure material and personnel are transferred to the rig site and vice versa
▪ Ensure that the Asset Management Operative System (AMOS) is rigorously implemented, in order to survey, test and maintain all rig machinery/equipment, in accordance with statutory, company requirements and standards
▪ Verify that the maintenance routines of drilling equipment/assets are appropriate and guarantee an efficient performance of drilling activities
▪ Liaise with the Client’s representative ashore regarding contract management and interpretation, well program definition, preparation and coordination of operations
▪ Ensure reporting routines are fulfilled
▪ Support rig site personnel in performing rig moving activities by coordinating the logistics associated
▪ Ensure compliance with society and Authority rules and regulations
▪ Implement necessary actions to maintain the warehouse value up to a certain targeted level
▪ Verify that the stock level of spare parts and consumables for the drilling equipment on the rig within remit are kept at an appropriate level
▪ Ensure MOC (Management of Change) procedure is fully adhered to and that approved changes are implemented
▪ Assist Operations Manager for the evaluation of MOC requests

REQUIREMENTS

Proven experience in the role of drilling supervisor or onshore rig superintendent
Fluent English
