Position Summary
Perform routine tasks associated with the gathering of knowledge required to watch budgets and estimates for a selected portion of a project.
Duties and Responsibilities
Perform sort of cost/estimating tasks like coding timesheets, invoices, quantity installations, and accumulating hours per account, etc.
Assist in preparing routine and/or special request reports per established instructions, department procedures and deadlines.
Assist cost engineers in compiling cost data by account, preparing manpower forecasts, cross coding existing cost records, etc.
May calculate/prepare material and work quantities (takeoffs), comparison reports, charts and tables for project analysis.
May perform administrative duties related to day-to-day routine activities designed to supply application of cost methods.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
Job Requirements
Excellent verbal as well as written language and listening skills required.
Educational and knowledge requirements include: Two year technical degree or equivalent combinations training as well as related experience.
Basic knowledge of resource monitoring techniques plus ability to follow procedures/directions required.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
Minimum 10 years supervision experience in industry
Must be proficient in reading blueprints as well as isometric drawings, orthos, and P&IDs.
Experience in weld inspection.
CWI preferred.
