QC Inspector Job

 

Under close supervision, inspects Cameron products and/or outsourced components and materials and verifies conformance to requirements including documentation of findings and ensuring the identification and removal of nonconforming materials.

Roles and Responsibilities
Based upon Engineering blueprintsand standards, ensure that all quality policies and procedures are
followed
Review product documentation packages and ensure compliance with customer and industry requirements
  • Conduct incoming material inspections and maintain material traceability
  • Generate quality reports as needed
  • Issue and maintain the Cameron NCR System in SAP
  • Perform various other duties activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
  • Ensures materials and product in accordance with established tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged.
  • Performs inspection procedures on materials, parts and assemblies working from drawings, sketches and other required specifications.
  • Applies established inspection procedures and use a wide range of tools and instruments
  • Prepares Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent

 

Minimum of 1 year related experience in the use of dimensional inspection, measuring and test equipment

 

Proficient in reading and understanding engineered drawings, P&ID’s and blue prints

 

Ability to read job and material specifications, quality plans and define quality requirements, documentation requirements, etc

 

Ability to comprehend and understand geometric tolerance on blueprints.

 

Ability to comprehend computer Data Base Information

 

Must have ability to use inspection and dimensional instruments

 

Working knowledge of ASTMs, ASME & API specifications

 

Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of management and employees

 

Well organized with strong attention-to-detail

 

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
