Summary:
Control Room Operator is a safety critical role. Key deliverables for this position are to ensure safe and smooth shift day to day operation. Surveillance and monitoring of the plant operating parameters for Utilities, Gast & Oil treatment, SRU and TGTU. The CRO will react and respond to plant upsets as per the set procedures to normalize the systems and subsystems.

Organization
The job holder is reporting to Operations Lead for his function and administration.He works very closely with field operators, lab technicians, warehouse and maintenance staff.The job holder has no direct communication role with Clients unless approved by the line manager or required by emergency procedures.Essential
Duties & Responsibilities:·
assists Operations lead and ensure that updated technical documentation is available to support Field Operations.· Direct and Coordinate the activities of Field Operators· Monitor the Process Control System and intervenes to normalise/smoothe the upset conditions as per plant operating procedures.· Prepares necessary shift reports on time and ensures handover to next shift.· Understands the normal plant conditions and maintains them as per plant Operating Procedures and within designed set points (operating envelopes).·Able to analyse the plant system, sub-system parameters and troubleshoot issues and improve the process.· Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for their effective implementation and hold frequent refreshers.·Able to understand the inherent priority of matters and timely escalate them to Operations Lead for a solution.·Be aware of the responsibility of Control Room Operator duties during emergencies as per Emergency Response Plan (ERP).·Fully understand the Safety Critical Elements (SCE), and operate them as per design specifications.·Initiate, assess, and implement all approved changes to be facilities as per MOC procedure.·Understand and prioritise day to day maintenance works for routine, shutdowns. Actively prepare related PTW, isolations, and safely release the equipment for maintenance.·Understands and efficiently implement the recommendations (by the Laboratory, Maintenance and other departments) during the shift operation.· Assist Operations Lead to monitor production volume, supplies, conditions and specifications during the shift.· Conducts permit to work meetings and organises PTW for maintenance activities in a timely fashion.·Actively work with other disciplines to maintain Asset Integrity and Process Safety of the facility.·Assist Operation Lead and Ensures that there is a continuous and adequate interaction with the clients and customers regarding start-ups, shut-downs and special conditions that might affect the plant performance and product specifications from the operation staff.·Assist Operations Lead in implementing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.·Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances.·Follows QHSE regulations and applies to all Operations activities.· Understand the warehouse activities (Requisition generation, material withdrawal requests, lubricant and chemical ordering philosophy, etc.) and frequently tops up chemicals and consumables for operation.
·Assists Operations Lead to control operating costs and development of Operating Plans.
Key requirements of the Job·Technical diploma in Chemical, Petroleum or equivalent.·Minimum 10+ years of experience in oil and gas industry.·3 years experience in Control Room Operation in sour and acid gas condensate processing facility.·Have proven skills for working in teams, collaboration, and achieving excellence.·Experienced in working in Teams and expert in conflict resolution.· Good troubleshooting skills, problem solver and information analyser.·Advanced knowledge of English both written and spoken.·Good interpersonal and communication skills.·Good user of PC tools including Microsoft Office, and Computerised Mainteneance Management System (CMMS).·Good interpersonal and communication skills.
