Power Plant Field Operator Job Saudi Arabia

EDUCATION /EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or Diploma in chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3-4 year of experience or 12th grade with minimum 6-7 years experience in petrochemical / polymer industry preferred

Basic Functions:

1. Responsible for carrying out all field activities in case of :
   1. Normal plant operation.
   2. Start up and shut down.
   3. Plant emergencies.
2. Responsible for logging field parameters, sending samples to laboratory as per the schedule and sending extra samples as instructed by Shift Supervisor.
3. Responsible for reporting any abnormality in field to his Shift Supervisor.
4. In addition to above, he is responsible for good housekeeping within his area in coordination with maintenance department or material contractor.
5. Responsible for preparation of equipment for handing over to and taking over from maintenance department.
6. Ensures that safety and security procedures are strictly adhered to.
7. Responsible for preparing Safety Audit checklists in his area as per schedule.
8. Responsible for the preparation of additive batches, ensuring adequacy of stock of the additives required for the day. Performs periodical physical materials inventories verification, as per guidelines.
9. Assists Shift Supervisor in performing miscellaneous jobs as warranted.
10. Continuously monitors the operations of the plant in the field with the help of the board man and Shift Supervisor.
11. Monitor and operate equipments such as Compressors, Extruder, Blowers, pumps, valves, dewatering equipments, etc.
12. Adjust or alter plant processes as required; respond to and control accidental releases of hazardous liquids and gases; perform confined space entries as required; and haul material on plant premises.
13. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit’s service by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
14. Perform daily and weekly field analyses; oil, grease, and clean equipment and maintain records.
15. Performs minor maintenance jobs in the plant, as per requirement in the shift.
