Job Description
The job description for the Service Tech is below:

Provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components.

Other duties may be assigned

Assist Service Technicians
Check Equipment IN & OUT
Driving Duties as assigned
Inventory Incoming Iron
Assist with Ultrasonic Testing
Clean/Treat Iron
Strip, Inspect, Clean, and Rebuild/Reassemble all required flow control components.
2″ 1502 Swivel
2″ 1502 Plug Valves
2″ 1502 All Other SPM Iron
Prepare Parts for MPI
Knowledge of SPM Products and Customer Requirements
Responsible for painting components per customer specifications.
Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work area.
Assists with customers as needed.
Monitors daily work activities to ensure requirements are met.
Performs other routine duties.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to three years related experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write, and speak in the English language.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Other Skills and Abilities:

Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to drive a company vehicle as needed.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel toed safety shoes and safety glasses, in most areas of the facility.
